Discovery Espresso Capsules
A clean and aromatic coffee that opens with vibrancy and settles into an indulgent sweet finishâan exciting showcase of the regionâs quality.
Although Kenya borders Ethiopia, its own introduction to coffee began relatively late, when French missionaries brought trees from RĂ©union (then known as Bourbon Island) in 1893. For much of the 20th century, tightly controlled licensing excluded indigenous communities from cultivation, restricting coffee farming to European settlers. Fortunately, times have changed, smallholder farms now play a key role in coffee production in regions like Kirinyaga, where this lot of Batian, SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11 was grown.Â
